Michigan State junior Valery Plata has been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday, April 7. Plata recorded the second-lowest 54-hole total of her career with a 7-under-par 209 in helping the Spartans win the IU Spring Challenge on Monday.
