Michigan State hockey and the last name Miller have been intertwined since the mid-1950’s. Stars such as Ryan, Drew, Kip, Butch, Dean, Kevin and Kelly and other members of the Miller family have shone bright for the Spartans over many decades. There is a new Miller on the MSU marquee, senior defenseman and captain Tommy Miller, but in a twist – he is not a familial relation to the other former players.
