MSU’s 73.8 yards per game on the ground ranks 121st out of 124 Football Bowl Subdivision teams playing this fall. The Spartans used four running backs who combined for 46 yards on 14 carries against Indiana, and the team finished with 60 total yards rushing after gaining just 59 yards at Iowa and 50 against Rutgers. The outlier was the 126 yards at Michigan.
