Last One Standing: Josh Langford’s Encore
The 2016 Michigan State basketball recruiting class stands as one of the greatest recruiting feats Tom Izzo has ever achieved. Earning a top-three ranking behind only Kentucky and Duke, it stands as Izzo’s best overall class according to 247’s rankings (which originated in 2003). 5-star Miles Bridges (12th overall), 5-star Josh Langford (19th overall), 4-star Cassius Winston (31st), and 4-star Nick Ward (42nd) combined forces to become one of the most exciting group of prospects ever under Izzo, and were thereafter known fondly as “The Class.”
