Former Michigan State baseball player Anthony Misiewicz made his Major League Baseball debut Friday night with the Seattle Mariners on MLB’s Opening Night. Getting called out of the bullpen to start the bottom of the sixth inning, Misiewicz pitched 1.0 inning of relief in the Mariners’ 8-2 loss at Houston, firing one strikeout. Friday was Opening Day of the 2020 MLB season, in which teams are playing a 60-game season because of the shutdown forced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
