In a matter of several hours three months ago, Michigan State’s baseball team went from preparing for a normal weekend road trip to being told its season was over. There was no time to process it. Just, wham. The COVID-19 pandemic was shutting down sports, including MSU’s baseball season 15 games into a 56-game schedule. “It was a gut punch,” MSU coach Jake Boss Jr. said Monday.
