The Spartans played a new-look, smaller lineup for more than half of its 86-65 win over Nebraska on Thursday night. The lineup featured senior Kyle Ahrens playing in the power forward spot instead of his typical small forward role with either Xavier Tillman or Thomas Kithier alongside him in the frontcourt and two other wings on the perimeter. Michigan State spent all of Ahrens’ 22 minutes in that smaller lineup.
