Like every other Big Ten basketball fan, Tom Izzo watched over the past week as road teams went down one by one in conference play, each loss seemingly more surprising than the last. First, there was then-No. 4 Maryland losing at Penn State last Tuesday. No. 5 Michigan fell at Illinois the following day. Then on Sunday, No. 3 Ohio State went on the road and lost to a Minnesota team that had just lost by 20 at Iowa.
