“The reason I love some of the guys like Keith Appling and Kalin (Lucas) and those guards before him that are from Detroit, is there’s a certain toughness that I think you bring from that city,” Izzo said. “He has that. He’s not afraid to climb into you, he’s not afraid to get into you. He’s got the athletic ability to do it but I think he’s got the heart to do it, and that’s a big, big factor.”
