By the end of this season, one Michigan State defensive back will have pocket full of nickels. And the group as a whole hopes they’ll have a lot more interceptions to their name. The Spartans cornerbacks and safeties have a new tradition this offseason: after each practice, every defensive back who doesn’t record an interception puts a nickel in a jar. After the season, the player with the most interceptions wins the pot.
