MSU, led by Mark Dantonio, handed Meyer his first loss on the job as well as his first regular-season Big Ten defeat, dashing Ohio State’s national title aspirations both times. There was the 2013 Big Ten Championship game, when MSU upset the No. 2-ranked Buckeyes. Then there was the 2015 rain-soaked game in Columbus, when the Spartans grinded their way to a 17-14 win without starting quarterback Connor Cook.
