It’s hard to overstate what beating Duke means to Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo. Well, not just beating Duke, 68-67, but beating the No.1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, beating Zion Williamson, beating coach Mike Krzyzewski — and the psychological wall of Izzo’s 1-11 record against him — beating an encroaching narrative that he no longer had the touch, beating his own expectation, beating his own internal doubt.
