The Spartans are coming off a disappointing 7-6 season when one of the top defenses in the nation couldn’t make up for an offense that rated among the worst in the nation at scoring points. A shuffling of the coaching staff followed in the offseason in an effort to rekindle the program and return Michigan State to contending status in the Big Ten East. Here’s a look at five players who could help the Spartans do that by taking on more significant roles in 2019.
