Besides allowing 13 3-pointers, No. 10 Michigan State didn’t do anything to give visiting Oakland a shot at pulling off the upset Friday night at Breslin Center. MSU moved the ball (27 assists on 38 field goals), limited its turnovers (seven), hit its free throws (10-for-12) and made life difficult for the Golden Grizzlies’ best player, Xavier Hill-Mais. The Spartans never trailed in their 99-69 victory, expanding the lead north of 30 after Hill-Mais fouled out with 7:45 left on the clock.
