Goins had just been poked in the eye and was bleeding when he stepped to the free throw line. He missed the front end of a one-and-one with the game tied at 67 with 9.4 seconds remaining in the second half and Michigan State went on to lose 82-78 in overtime at Louisville on Tuesday night. “I couldn’t really see stepping up to the line. … I went up to the line and tried to keep it straight and tried my best,” Goins recalled after practice Wednesday night.
