It was Matt Sokol’s final game at Spartan Stadium, so the fifth-year senior was determined to make it count. With a frustrating season for the offense culminating Saturday against Rutgers, Sokol played a vital role in Michigan State’s 14-10 victory, scoring his first touchdown of the season on an 18-yard pass from Rocky Lombardi in the second quarter, then throwing a key block on Cody White’s 22-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
