Yet the Spartans’ season felt hollow, after an arduous journey. “It’s hard to look at a 30-win season and say we fell a little short,” MSU coach Tom Izzo said at the team’s media day Thursday at Breslin Center. “But we did — of your expectations, meaning the fans, and probably my expectations.”
