Willis led the team with a season-high nine tackles in the Spartans’ 21-17 win at Penn State. He hit quarterback Trace McSorley in the first quarter to force a fumble, which led to Michigan State’s first fumble recovery of the season, and he also had a pass break-up. The Spartans held the Nittany Lions, who were averaging 49.6 points per game, to season lows in points and first downs (14).
