It has been seven months and one week since Michigan State last played a hockey game. And about seven months and two weeks since the Spartans last tasted victory. So, Sunday’s 3-1 victory over the University of Windsor at Munn Arena was special for the 21 returning players and also rewarding for the seven freshmen on the 2018-19 edition of the Spartans. And so what if it was “only” an exhibition game and the win doesn’t count in MSU’s overall record.
