Following a 29-19 loss at home to Northwestern (2-3, 2-1 Big Ten) on Saturday, the Spartans (3-2, 1-1) fell out of the top 25 in both the AP rankings and Coaches Poll, which were released Sunday afternoon. They were ranked No. 20 by the AP and No. 19 in the Coaches Poll last week and had been in both top-25 polls each week since a 14-10 win at Michigan on Oct. 7 last year.
