It wouldn’t be a Michigan State basketball preseason without Tom Izzo publicly contemplating playing a zone defense. The Spartans were seen practicing a 2-3 zone during their Tuesday afternoon practice at Breslin Center in the second week of the basketball preseason. That led to questions about if the Spartans plan to implement a zone on occasion this year. And Izzo said, once again, he’s spending his October thinking about it.
