Two days after holding No. 13-ranked Iowa scoreless through the first half, the Michigan State field hockey team did the same against No. 10-ranked Northwestern on Sunday, September 30. Despite improvement on the defensive side of the ball, the Spartans came up short against the Wildcats, falling by a final score of 2-0 at Ralph Young Field.
