After a season-opening win against UTSA Saturday night, Herm Edwards got home after midnight but didn’t go to sleep. The first-year Arizona State coach returned to the football building at about 4 a.m. with plenty on his mind. Edwards spent nearly 30 minutes responding to text messages congratulating him on his first win as a college head coach, and also had to turn his attention to the upcoming opponent.
