When Michigan State provided a public preview for the upcoming season, there were notable absences. More than a dozen players sat out the spring game on April 7 at Spartan Stadium, including a trio of linebackers. Senior Andrew Dowell, junior Joe Bachie and sophomore Antjuan Simmons all missed the spring game due to injury.
