The state of Texas’ fifth-best prospect landed an offer from Izzo and the Spartans on July 18 and called it a “big” one, per Sean Scherer of 247Sports. It may be too early to tell if the Spartans are the favorites to land him, but he clearly thinks highly of Izzo and the program. Duke could be Michigan State’s biggest threat — go figure — at this point in time though the Blue Devils have yet to extend an offer.
