Gerald Holmes’ senior season did not go as planned, as the Flint native ran for 287 yards on 79 carries — both marking his lowest totals since he played in two games as a freshman in 2014. The 6-foot-1, 221-pound Holmes appeared in 11 games, missing two because of an ankle injury that limited him the next few weeks. Last month, though, Holmes did himself some favors at Michigan State’s Pro Day.
