Clarkston guard Foster Loyer, who has signed to play at Michigan State, suffered a “slight meniscus tear” in his left knee on Tuesday and won’t play during Thursday night’s home game against Hazel Park, his coach said. Clarkston coach Dan Fife added that Loyer, who is a candidate for the Michigan Mr. Basketball award, would be re-examined Monday. Loyer was injured during Clarkston’s 66-60 win at West Bloomfield.
