Tom Izzo said after his team’s practice on Thursday afternoon that he didn’t plan on watching that night’s Ohio State and Purdue games. He planned to just look at the scores. When he did, he may have jumped for joy. Ohio State lost on the road at Penn State, 79-56, on Thursday night. That loss means Michigan State is now tied with the Buckeyes in first place in the Big Ten standings, at 13-2.
