Michigan State takes over the No. 1 spot. The Spartans received 17 of 32 first-place votes to finish a total of 21 poll points ahead of previous No. 1 Villanova. The Wildcats check in at No. 2 this week. Despite a home loss to St. John’s, they retained eight first-place nods after bouncing back with a win against Butler on Saturday.
