Despite the switch from leading a program to being a position coach, Paul Haynes’ salary didn’t drop by a large margin. Haynes, who was hired in January as Michigan State’s new secondary coach, has an annual salary of $378,463, according to an agreement obtained by MLive.com via a records request. He spent the previous five seasons as the head coach at Kent State and made $414,030 in 2017, according to a USA TODAY salary database.
