Michigan State beat No. 3 Purdue at home on Saturday to win its eight straight game and move to 24-3 overall. It will likely be ranked in the top three of the Associated Press poll on Monday. But in the eyes of the NCAA Tournament selection committee, the Spartans still have work to do become a No. 1 or a No. 2 seed in next month’s tournament.
