Michigan State track & field featured a strong showing on the first day of both the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, and the Akron Invitational in Akron, Ohio on Friday night. MSU took nine top-five finishes, and several Spartans set personal records.
