Mark Dantonio gets creative with addition of Don Treadwell as 10th assistant coach
Don Treadwell was announced Monday afternoon as Michigan State’s latest hire and will assist with defensive backs and special teams, be an offensive consultant and also serve as the freshmen head coach, which is a new position for the Spartans. That is exactly how Dantonio previously described how he wanted the 10th assistant position to be filled. “I think it’s warranted,” Dantonio said Friday of the multiple responsibilities. “We have certain needs that individual can help.”
