During one of Michigan State’s Tuesday morning meetings at the Breslin Center, Tom Izzo called up a video clip from the previous night’s Rose Bowl game between Georgia and Oklahoma. The clip showed a routine 27-yard Oklahoma field goal attempt in double overtime. Georgia burst through the line to block that kick, and two plays later scored the game-winning touchdown to win and advance to the national title game. Izzo said he used the clip to make a point to his team: little things, like blocking on a chip-shot field goal, can be the difference between wins and losses.
