Michigan State finally returns to Big Ten play Thursday after winning two conference games in early December. The No. 1 Spartans host Maryland, which is just starting life without forwards Justin Jackson and Ivan Bender, both of whom are out for the year with injuries. Without Jackson, the Terps don’t have their best rebounder and third-leading scorer, but head coach Tom Izzo and his team are by no means sleeping on Maryland.
