A year ago, goalie Drew DeRidder was playing for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the United States Hockey League. The RoughRiders were in a rebuilding mode, not winning many games and DeRidder was facing about 30-40 shots a game. There were some tough nights. But DeRidder loved it. The experience made him a better goalie.
