In his ninth game in a Michigan State uniform, Jaren Jackson Jr. tied a 32-year-old Michigan State record and had no idea he had done it until after the game. Jackson blocked eight shots in the Spartans’ Tuesday win over Rutgers, tying the school record set by Ken Johnson in December, 1984. He was informed after the game by a Michigan State official that he’s now a Michigan State record holder. Now, Jackson said, he wants to hold that record alone. “Hopefully I can get nine at some point,” Jackson said. “I kind of want it.”
