Michigan State not shying away from national title talk as season kicks off
When Tum Tum Nairn called Tom Izzo to verbally commit to Michigan State in September 2013, he made a memorable promise to his future coach: “We’re going to win a national championship,” Nairn vowed that day. In the three seasons since he came to campus, Nairn has seen that goal come within reach, only to slip away.
