Miles Bridges’ decision to return to East Lansing, rather than jumping to the NBA, gave the Spartans national title expectations. He averaged 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds as a freshman and will be among the favorites for national player of the year. Forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (6-11, 225) could win conference freshman of the year and be one of the top picks in the 2018 NBA draft.
