One week after dropping in the national rankings, Michigan State shot back up the new polls, which were released on Sunday afternoon. The Spartans (7-2, 5-1 Big Ten), who bounced back from a triple-overtime loss at Northwestern with a 27-24 win against then-No. 7 Penn State on Saturday, moved from unranked to No. 16 in the latest Coaches Poll and from No. 24 to 13 in the AP rankings.
