Both defenses are smothering the run, with both the Spartans and Wildcats having held four of their opponents this season below 100 yards on the ground. MSU limited Iowa to 19 yards on the ground and stifled Minnesota to minus-12 yards rushing. Wisconsin is the only Big Ten team to top 100 yards against the Wildcats (at 109), and that was more than 166 yards below the Badgers’ average entering the game.
