Cody White’s rise as one of Michigan State’s three starting wide receivers positions isn’t a surprise. The freshman produced his best performance of his young career with six catches for 99 yards Saturday as the 18th-ranked Spartans beat Indiana, 17-9, to become bowl eligible. White overtook sophomore Trishton Jackson to join junior Felton Davis and sophomore Darrell Stewart as starters.
