No. 2 Penn State, Rutgers Await Spartans on East Coast Trip

Friday’s match pits two of the league’s 5-1 teams against one another – No. 2 Penn State and No. 10 Spartans face off for the first of two matches in 2017. The teams have met just once in each of the last three seasons – all matches that went the way of the Nittany Lions, who hold a five-game winning streak in the series. MSU’s last win came in September of 2013, a 3-2 win over then-No. 1 PSU at Rec Hall.
