The Spartans landed their second commitment of the 2019 class when 4-star Oak Park (Mich.) quarterback Dwan Mathis announced his decision last Friday. They could add their first 2018 commitment on Friday if 3-star University of Detroit Jesuit running back Elijah Collins makes the move. Michigan State will welcome more recruits on Saturday when it plays its fourth home game to open the season. Iowa will be in town for a 4:12 p.m. ET kickoff at Spartan Stadium.
