The true freshman showed that it’s not going to be easy to throw his way in the Spartans 35-10 season-opening win against Bowling Green. Scott was credited with two passes defended and assisted on a tackle for loss in the victory. But his play went beyond the box score. Pro Football Focus College rated the nation’s top 10 freshmen performers from Week 1, and nobody earned a mark as high as Scott.
