Ron Burton’s role changed this offseason, as the long-time defensive line coach who came to Michigan State in 2013 is now focused mostly on MSU’s defensive tackles. With former linebackers coach Mark Snyder now with the defensive ends, Burton is able to coach the interior linemen in more detail and help with more individual work now that he has fewer players in his group. And, considering the number of guys Burton expects to play on the inside this season for the Spartans, that’s probably for the best.
