Michigan State is coming off its worst season of the Mark Dantonio era and is unranked in the preseason coaches poll for the first time since 2013.The Spartans, who followed a Big Ten title and trip to the College Football Playoff with a 3-9 season last year, are well outside the top 25 and among the teams receiving votes. They had one point, meaning one coach voted them at No. 25.
