Time will tell if Michigan State’s football team has enough talent and experience to win this season, whether there are enough defensive ends on the roster to sniff an opposing quarterback, enough playmakers to overcome deficiencies. Those are questions that can’t be answered until September. The difference between 3-9 and 6-6, however, is elsewhere. It’s in a team’s togetherness, its leadership, whether its players have common purpose.
