Michigan State hopes it can boost dismal sack numbers amid another DL shuffle
Michigan State may not have quite the defensive line upheaval this offseason that it did last year. But it still has plenty of questions and some key personnel losses as it looks to improve upon a season in which opposing quarterbacks seemed to operate mostly with ease. Michigan State’s 11 total sacks was tied for third-worst among 128 FBS teams in 2016. It’s a number the players on Michigan State’s defense are fully aware is unacceptable.
