Excitement builds for MSU/OU clash in Little Caesars Arena
Let the psychological warfare begin. After Tuesday’s announcement that Michigan State and Oakland will play at Little Caesars Arena on Dec. 16, joining Michigan and Detroit Mercy for a college basketball doubleheader, Oakland coach Greg Kampe praised the Spartans and longtime coach Tom Izzo. “They were (ranked) No. 1 two years ago, and we got beat in overtime,” Kampe said of his team’s 99-93 loss to MSU at the Palace. “I’m hoping they’re No. 1 again. That would be great.”
